Many parcels of land throughout Hamilton County are in a floodplain. Likewise, many government entities (City of Cincinnati, Hamilton County, and several communities within Hamilton County) provide floodplain enforcement within their respective community.

IBI will accept and process all electrical plan review submittals and applications for electrical permits for work within a flood plain. However, no Approval of or Inspection of any project within a floodplain will occur until the appropriate government entity has “signed off” on the project within their jurisdiction.

For electrical work within a floodplain, we strongly recommend that you seek approval from the appropriate government entity as one of the first steps of your electrical submittal(s) process.
